Durian equipment acceptance checklist: from trial run to handover

Agree the fruit, measurement methods, acceptance conditions and records separately for washing, weight sorting and combination weighing.

Durian equipment acceptance checklist: from trial run to handover
Scope

Acceptance discussions for XFJD durian washing, weighing, sorting and combination projects. This proposed checklist is not a national equipment acceptance standard.

Before the trial: agree test conditions

Confirm configuration, reference layout, utilities and equipment scope. Agree cultivar, weight distribution, surface condition, sample quantity or trial duration, feeding method, staffing and utilities. Results obtained under different conditions may not be directly comparable.

Washing and surface drying: compare the same batch

Use representative agreed fruit to inspect dirt removal, remaining surface water, transfers and fruit damage. Specify sampling points, scoring or measurement methods and pass conditions; keep before/after photos and exception records. Surface cleanliness does not establish pulp residue compliance or prove disinfection or shelf-life performance.

Weight sorting: compare each fruit with a reference scale

Use a checked reference scale and samples spanning the agreed weight range, including fruit near grade boundaries. Record reference weight, machine reading and actual outlet for each fruit. Repeat at a recorded operating speed. Assess weighing error, grading result and operating stability separately against the technical agreement.

Combination weighing: agree box-level checks separately

Define target net weight, packaging tare, permitted deviation and the number of boxes assessed. Retain combination and check-weighing records. Individual-fruit accuracy is not the same as box combination tolerance. Record incomplete combinations, manual adjustments and over/underweight results. Results depend on incoming weight distribution; physical box packing remains manual.

Operation and safety: include checks in the handover

Agree continuous-run duration, how effective output is counted, and records of stops and blockages. Distinguish instantaneous speed from sustained capacity. Following operating instructions, check emergency stops, guards, reset, cleaning access and drainage. Qualified personnel should perform electrical or guarding checks; do not bypass safety devices during trials.

Sign-off: retain results and close corrective actions

Check equipment, agreed spares, operating/maintenance documents and training against the supply list. Record date, revision, participants, conditions, raw data, conclusions and open items. Agree corrective responsibility, retest method and sign-off conditions in writing. Capacity, damage-rate and service commitments follow the parties’ agreement.

This is a summary of source documents; engineering advice is labelled separately. Check the product, origin, current official documents and authority requirements. Equipment acceptance follows the technical agreement confirmed by both parties.
